Jerry Fox is a retired engineer who has always loved programming. He wrote his first program for an RCA 301 computer in 1964. He has a BS in Engineering Mechanics and an MS in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University of Illinois. He has taught programming at the University of Hartford and has been published in Dr. Dobbs Journal of Computer Languages.
He loves golf, but has a non-repeatable swing. His favorite mystery detective is Milo Milodragovitch created by James Crumly. He loves to travel and has been to all fifty states (including his most recent visit to Delaware). He is now working on visiting all the US counties. He firmly believes the best BBQ in the world is Sweatman's BBQ in Holly Hill, SC. He believes in "Concept Travel," i.e. you only have to drive by a site like Devil's Tower to get the concept. It is not necessary to actually stop, just push on to the next view.
